About the Job:
The Housing Locator Specialist is a key member of the housing team whose primary responsibility is to identify and cultivate housing opportunities to support families’ transition from transitional housing to permanent housing in the community. S/he will be developing relationships with landlords, identifying housing that is suitable to maximize the permanent housing success and provide short-term supports upon exiting from transitional housing in the community. S/he will collaborate with team member who is supporting 15 families in a pilot program, Families in Transition, who are in scattered site permanent housing to ensure housing is maintained. This role works collaboratively with the Housing team and external partners to achieve program goals. This position is located at New Moms in the Austin neighborhood, as well as spends extensive time in the community. Salary $38-46K DOE.
