About the Job:

This full-time Contracts Manager provides leadership and direction in the management of designated public and private contracts and grants, including finance functions.   S/he reports to our Director of Performance Management and works closely with the Director of Finance to cultivate and maintain positive working relationships with various funders.  The position is located at New Moms’ Transformation Center in the Austin neighborhood of Chicago.  Salary: $ 47,500

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manages assigned contracts/grants.  Establishes and maintains relationships with point of contact for each funder.  Ensures complete files on all contracts/grants.
  • Completes and executes annual contract renewals.
  • Works with program staff to submit all monthly, quarterly, and annual programmatic reports to assigned funders.
  • Completes monthly, quarterly, and annual fiscal reports and vouchers on all assigned contracts/grants, including annual budgets, budget to actual reports, and budget revisions.
  • Assists Finance Department with other accounting functions, including employee payroll allocations, monthly financial statements, and maintaining vendor files.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

The successful candidate will possess:

  • Commitment to and passion for the mission of New Moms.
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Two years accounting experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in the use of personal computers and Microsoft software applications, specifically Excel, is required.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and in writing required.
  • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities, projects, and deadlines concurrently.
  • Requires utmost integrity; ethical behavior and appropriate business practices.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with ability to work both collaboratively and independently.
  • Endorses a Family-Centered, Trauma-Informed, Strengths-Based practice model that integrates harm reduction, motivational interviewing, executive skills, infant mental health, and positive youth development practices in working with young moms and their children.
